Design protection in Turkey is based on protection of registered designs. Registration will be performed without examination. The procedure accepted by Turkish System is similar to the system applied in European Countries.  Turkish Design Protection System includes the following modern provisions: Registered design system, Non-examination system as to substance, Publication of designs, Term of Protection is 5 years, Protection term can be extended up to 25 years by 4 times renewal, Deferment of publication, Multiple application, Opposition by third parties, Compensation of damages against infringement, Establishment of Specialised Courts
